YOUNG GUN CODY LING TAKES 2ND AT JUNIOR OLYMPICS
12.03.2008

Cody Ling from Minnesota is having quite the season. After breaking his collarbone at the beginning of the year, he has bounced back stronger and quicker than ever. Last week Cody, 16, placed 2nd in Slopestyle at the Junior Olympics in Steamboat.

Cody trains mainly at Hylands in Minnesota on only 150 feet of vertical, for three or four months a year. He’s lucky enough to take family trips to Colorado where he trains early season at Breckenridge with the rest of the Salomon team. Cody has been on the team since he was thirteen and will join the whole crew in Mammoth again this spring for the Jib Academy final.

“Besides his obvious talent, here is kid that just loves to ski and has such a positive attitude,” says Cody’s Team Manager, Jenny Naftulin. “We love having him around!”

In addition to his success at JO’s, Cody advanced to finals in this year’s North America Open out of over 300 athletes. He has also been coaching on the Jib Academy Tour and just got home from the Sno Mountain, Pennsylvania stop.

With his amazing work ethic, supportive family and raw talent, definitely look for big things from this kid for many seasons to come.
