In true Salomon fashion we had Mammoth Mountain build us a private big air jump on a closed run for the International Jib Academy winners and the Salomon Pros to session for a private photo shoot. Sammy Carlson was our Guinea Pig to ensure that the jump was up to Salomon’s standards. Skiers were towed up the mountain via their own personal snow cat. What privileges! The jump was pristine, the huge table top was 70 feet!

 

The sun was shining and it was time for the international contenders to throw down! Canada, USA, Norway, Sweden, France and Switzerland all have amazing representation. The 16 and under crew is certainly impressing Sammy Carlson, Mark Abma, Mike Douglas, Kaya Turski and the rest of the fabulous Salomon athletes. The biggest air came from mini, 10 year old, 4 ft 8 Willi from Minnesota! The Salomon staff were even killin’ it!

 

The huge assortment of tricks included everything from huge stalled out 360’s, 540’s, Kangaroos, switch 10’s, 12’s, and cab 9’s.

 

Salomon Freeski TV, Newschoolers.com, and MSP were onsite to capture the madness. We finished off the morning session with an amazing group photo with Sammy cab 9-ing over everyone’s heads!

 

After a delicious lunch back at the Broadway Marketplace with the common people at Mammoth the skiers continued to slay the main park. Then everyone chilled and got ready to socialize for the evening.
