The Salomon Quest Backcountry Ski Seminar Tour launches on 2 November at Snow+Rock’s Gateshead store, with five further talks in early November at stores in Manchester (the Chill Factore), Bristol, Kensington, Hemel Hempstead (the Snow Centre) and Chertsey.

Hosting the tour will be UIAGM mountain guide and Ski Club’s Alpine Safety Advisor Nigel Shepherd who has also worked alongside Salomon research and development team to create a unique range of backcountry kit, including the Quest ski boots and Sentinel skis.

At the talks Shepherd will be sharing first-hand knowledge gained from years of backcountry experience and those attending the tour will also get the chance to find out more about Salomon’s innovative backcountry kit.

At the Snow Centre and the Chill Factore there will also be the chance to try a range of the Salomon Quest boots and Sentinel skis in a one hour on-snow session. There will also be some ski touring demonstrations and the opportunity to have a go at skinning up the slopes.

The talks at Gateshead, Bristol, Kensington and Chertsey will run from 7-9pm with tickets £5 for members and £7 for non-members. Tickets for the Chill Factore and Snow Centre including the demo sessions and ski testing cost £15, with the on-snow sessions taking place from 9-10pm following the talk.
